The Yssingeaux XC75 Outdoor Knife Made with Original Dies

This pocket knife is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. It offers a solid grip and an optimally sharp edge.

This knife is made with original dies, which did not have a honing feature at the time. The honing is the space between the spring and the blade of the closed knife.

In its absence, Thiers-Issard strongly recommends guiding the blade, without snapping it shut. This preserves the sharpness of the blade and the perfect functioning of the locking mechanism.

A leisure knife made of XC75 carbon steel

The Yssingeaux outdoor knife features an 8.5-centimeter XC75 carbon steel blade. The knife's total length when open is 19.5 cm.

Equipped with iron liners and crafted from a single piece of steel, this regional knife is considered a classic, a "Grandfather's Knife."

These models are handcrafted with their original moulds which at that time did not have an empty space between the spring and the blade when the knife was closed. We advise our client to follow the blade without snapping it on the spring so as to avoid damaging the edge when closing the knife. Thus, he will preserve the edge as well as the correct working of this knife for a long time.
